Janet Walker
Hendrickson
April 18, 1939 -- Nov. 13, 2008
Janet
Walker Hendrickson of Sequim died of complications of liver
failure at Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles. She was
69.
She was born in Tacoma to Gardie and Doris Walker.
In 1957, she moved to Port Angeles, where she married Donald
E. Hendrickson at the Assembly of God Church on Feb. 23,
1958.
She graduated from Port Angeles High School in 1958.
Mrs. Hendrickson, who held various jobs as a medical
assistant and cashier, lived in Port Angeles until 1974,
then moved to Sequim.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, sewing and
cooking. She collected and tried new recipes on friends and
family.
Survivors include her husband of Sequim; son and
daughter-in-law David and Anita Hendrickson of Eatonville;
and daughters and sons-in-law Vickie and Dana Rekow of
Belle¬vue and Julie and Abraham Correa of Vancouver, Wash.

Other tidbits
of PAHS information from Fred Larson:
1. The school opened its
current site in the Fall of 1953 with the following
dedication: "This building, conceived and constructed by
the citizens of today, is dedicated to the training of the
citizens of tomorrow, so that they may cherish and hold
their heritage of freedom of mind, spirit and body."
2. The very first annual was called "Tum Tum". That
annual was made by the 'editors' of the "Tum Tum". There
is no explaining why it was called "Tum Tum" in the
first half dozen annuals I looked through. Will have to
research that more
